Summary:The presentation will focus on best and worst practices for implementing a SQL Server disaster recovery process. Specific attention will be placed on considerations while designing a disaster recovery architecture as well as real world scenarios to discuss potential disaster recovery pitfalls. During the presentation, technologies will be discussed ranging from database mirroring, replication, and log shipping with a specific emphasis on how different technologies can fit together to build a disaster recovery plan to solve many database disasters.
Speaker Bio: Jason Hall is the manager of SQL Server Consulting at Quest Software. For the past four years, Jason has been implementing, supporting, selling, consulting on, and speaking about disaster recovery solutions and how they apply to SQL Server. While at Quest Software, Jason has worked with several fortune 100 companies as well as presented at SQL Server Summits, SQL Server PASS conferences, and users groups around the country.
