Due to an unforeseen emergence Rick Brewis will not be able to present for the group . We have been in contact with the Cleveland group and will be joining them in a Live Meeting presentation. The topic is as follows.

Overview:

SQL Server 2008 has 2 new features that can notify you when your data changes.  Both are easy to set up and do not require you to create triggers on each table.  Change Tracking requires less overhead, but Change Data Capture gives you more detail.  This presentation will explain how each of these features works and when you might use one or the other.

Each meeting has a Presenter brought in to discuss their area of expertise followed by a Q&A session. Meetings usually last around two hours, with plenty of free Pizza, Pop and Give-Away's provided by Microsoft!
